About HTBC
Our Story
Hunt reopened its doors in the 2021–2022 school year after closing in 2010. It marked a fresh start full of promise for students, families, and staff. Inspired by that new beginning, a handful of Hunt parents and staff came together the following year with a shared vision: to build a community that not only supports Hunt’s programs but actively enriches the experience of every student.
By spring of 2023, the HTBC was officially born. We secured 501(c)(3) status, created the bylaws, and laid the groundwork to become a lasting force for good in our school.
In 2024–2025, we launched our inaugural rounds of financial support to fund arts programming and initiatives that promote student wellbeing. Our purpose from day one has been to foster an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
We’ve already seen what’s possible when our community comes together with purpose and heart. The journey is just beginning — and we can’t wait to see where we go next!
Our Impact
Financial Support
Since launching our financial support we’ve awarded funds to a variety of applicants, including:

money for set supplies for theater and arts programs;

funding a parent book club on raising kids in the age of anxiety;

purchasing a sensory equipment for students with special needs;

covering transportation costs to ensure students could participate in field trips

Events
In addition to Takeovers, HTBC also hosted the first annual Hunt Paint & Sip Night, bring together members of the broader Hunt community for an evening of painting and socialization

Fundraising
Held a variety of fundraising events, including 50/50 raffle drawings at the Annie and SpongeBob SquarePants performances, Takeovers in collaboration with local businesses including Kona Ice, Habit Burger, The Clover Leaf, and Bliss Small Batch Creamery; as well as selling food & refreshments during Hunt Sporting & Arts events.
